One of our dads needs your help

Danael Broussard, one of our dads here on the site, and his son Samuel lost everything except the their car and the clothes on their back last night in a devastating fire. They really need our help to rebuild their lives. If you have any clothes, supplies, toys or anything else that you'd like to donate, I'm sure they'd really appreciate it. There are donation details in the image below.

Also, if you'd like to donate to Danael's PayPal account, his email is…

A huge thank you to this group!

I truly want to say thank you to all of the families that I met last September/October who are apart of this group.   As Cooper had mentioned in his post last week, some times you feel deep down inside that your supposed to do more with the blessing you have been given.

My blessing is being a photographer.

When I realized that the photo that launched Cooper and Todd's family into media mayhem I was simply stunned.  Not because I took the photo but…

The Advocate: California has more than 50,000 gay parents

The Advocate is reporting on a survey from the Williams Institute that California has more than 50,000 gay parents - making it the largest population of gay parents in the country (not really a big surprise, mind you).

That breaks down to about 21% of gay couples raising children - or one in five!

Boys Will Be Boys? Not in These Families

Obama Administration Seeks To Address Homeless Crisis Among Gay Teens

WASHINGTON -- Jonathan had spent nearly a decade in Louisiana's child welfare system. The safest places, the gay teen discovered, were the moldy homes he squatted in after Hurricane Katrina.

Roofs sagged, floors caved in, mold veined walls and there were always rats. "It was very uncomfortable," said Jonathan. "Old, dark, lots of insects, rodents. ... It was times I cried." Often, he lit fires to keep the rats away.

At 18 years old, Jonathan had just aged out of foster care and…

2 gay dads, 12 happy kids

It's 11-year-old Andrew's turn to set the table for dinner, and he deals out 14 paper plates as if they were playing cards.

Marcus, 5, climbs onto a bench and announces, "It smells like pancakes."

His brother, 3-year-old Cooper, counters, "I think it smells like chicken."

"It smells like Ambrose," says Logan, 7, climbing in between Cooper and their sister Ambrose, who's 4. She glares at the laughing boys.

Actually, it smells like spaghetti. A big pot of homemade…

Site Updates

The service we use to maintain this website (Ning) has upgraded just about everything about the way the site works and there are some changes that have to be made to keep up with those improvements. I'm trying to get them done as I have time (you know, between feeding, chasing, bathing and loving my two kids!).

As they say at the mall, "pardon our dust." And if you see anything funky, let us know.
