First of all, happy Father's Day to all the dads on here! I hope you're having a great day.

Just wanted to share with y'all an essay that I wrote for Huffington Post "Gay Voices" section about the response we've received from the JCPenney ad and the ensuing media frenzy. The essay has reposted by GLAAD, The Advocate and a number of other places.

This Father's Day Todd and I received one of the best gifts any person, father or not, can receive: the gift of overwhelming love and support.

Personally, it's warmed our hearts and renewed our faith that most Americans are fair-minded people, and that there's a hell of a lot more love out there for families like ours than we ever knew.

And that's the greatest Father's Day gift of all.
